PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The new High-Speed/High-Capacity (AV/AC) Brescia Est – Verona railway line extends for approximately 48 km, crossing 2 Regions, 3 Provinces, and 11 Municipalities, developing primarily alongside existing infrastructure. The alignment connects with the new HS tracks and the Verona Merci Interconnection.
Contract 4, “Lugana – Frassino Ovest,” specifically concerns the line works and associated structures of the Brescia-Verona Functional Lot (Construction Lot 1, Even Track).
The works involved, which affect both the AV/AC Line and the interfering structures, belong to the following main categories: foundations for noise barriers, railway embankments and cuttings, cut-and-cover tunnels (including the portals of natural tunnels), cycle-pedestrian underpasses, and hydraulic works for water management.
