PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project concerns the construction of the new High-Speed/High-Capacity (AV/AC) Brescia Est – Verona railway line, which spans approximately 48 km between the Province of Brescia (starting from Mazzano) and the western side of Verona, where it connects with the new Verona Merci Interconnection.

The railway alignment (tracciato) crosses two Regions, three Provinces, and eleven Municipalities, developing largely alongside existing infrastructure (approximately 30 km parallel to the A4 Motorway and 8 km aligned with the conventional railway line).

The specific works of interest are located in the municipalities of Mazzano, Calcinato, and Lonato del Garda, all within the Brescia area. The route at Mazzano separates from the conventional Milan – Venice line and then runs parallel to it, continuing north of the A4 Motorway, at the location of the Chiese Viaduct in the municipality of Calcinato.
