The intervention is part of a broader conservative restoration project for the former ‘Silvio Pellico’ Municipal Boarding School in Ala, in the province of Trento. The property was ceded for free use to the PAT (Autonomous Province of Trento) with the intention of allocating the historic part to a Higher School of Healthcare Training and the more recent section and the extension to support spaces for the nearby primary and secondary school. The conservative restoration project, while aiming to transform the building to host the new primary school, has the primary goal of preserving the historical and architectural value of the former Boarding School, while simultaneously improving its energy performance to make it functional and efficient.
