The new Corvetto station in Genoa is a long-awaited project. The metro service will become even more extensive and widespread, establishing connections with the Carignano and Castelletto districts. The project is also compatible with the future construction of a connecting tunnel to Via San Vincenzo.

The new station is situated within the tunnel between the De Ferrari and Brignole stations, where the through-line platforms are already in place. Specifically, the works are designed to make the station fully operational.

The metro service will remain active, and construction will be executed on the operational system, non-stop, to ensure no line interruptions and maintain the mobility of Genoa’s citizens. Furthermore, the station will be located in an area of archaeological interest, featuring post-medieval, medieval, Roman, and prehistoric structures. For this reason, in coordination with the Superintendence, archaeological assistance and supervision are mandated during the excavation phase.
