PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The intervention is a strategic infrastructure aimed at enhancing the access road network to the Port Hub of La Spezia, which is the third largest port in Liguria by traffic volume, thereby improving regional mobility. The works focus on the approximately 1km section between the Buonviaggio and San Venerio junctions. Key structures in this stretch include the Felettino I Tunnel, which is 777 meters long and consists of two natural sections, two artificial portals, and an intermediate artificial tunnel of 114meters built using large-diameter piles. Also included is the San Venerio I Viaduct, 100 meters long, with four equal 25meter spans and a width of 15.50 meters, along with reinforced earth structures in the MU33 ramp, a box culvert, a return channel (the S. Rocco natural ditch), and five drainage wells upstream of the Felettino I Tunnel. The project also includes green works for environmental revegetation and requalification. To complete the link to the port hub, two other motorway sections are planned: one approximately 1.8km long between Via del Forno and Buonviaggio, and a second one that will connect the Pieve district with the Aurelia bypass, running through viaducts and tunnels up to the Malera junction.
